Honda has launched the all new Dio, India’s first motor scooter. The motor scooter first launched in 2003 was a first of its kind in the Indian market and was popular mainly among the youth. Not only women but young boys also preferred it over other scooters in the market.
The 2012 Honda Dio gets an aggressive front with a new headlamp cluster, side winkers and new rear view mirrors. The Dio now gets 110cc engine which also powers the segment leader Activa and Aviator. Honda states a 15% higher fuel economy for the Dio 110 and claims 55 Kmpl fuel economy figure.
Another feature the scooter gets tubeless tyres, Tuff Up tubes in Honda’s terminology which also the first gen model featured.
The 2012 Honda Dio comes priced at INR 42,632 ex-showroom Delhi. The new Dio will be available at dealers by end of February and the company has begun accepting bookings for the same.
