Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India launched its new performance motorcycle – CB Trigger positioned in the premium 150cc segment. The New CB Trigger is Honda’s fourth product launch starting January’13.
The 150cc – 180cc motorcycle segment contributes approximately 10% to Indian 2Wheeler industry. HMSI has been meeting varied customer demand in this segment with its CB Unicorn for mature commuters and the premium CBR 150R for riders who desired a global motorcycling experience.
Within 150-180cc motorcycle commuter segment, there are young Indian riders aged between 18-24 years aspiring for a new 150cc motorcycle offering from Honda. Their expectation from Honda is to create a 150cc masculine & aggressive styled motorcycle that can trigger the fun of riding while being perfect for daily commuting. Thus came CB Trigger – Honda’s ultimate answer with latest technology. Get ready to “Untame Yourself”.
The CB Trigger comes with a distinguishing contoured tank with unique 3D Honda emblem, floating side cowls and arrow shaped trendy side panel which contribute to the aggressive looks. Muscle lines in the side panel and the all black sporty muffler too emphasize the muscular character of the bike. Upping the style quotient of CB Trigger is the stylish all black alloy wheels and trendy fully digital advanced instrument panel.
The aggressive front head light with air scoops on the visor and the stylish panel, LED tail light brings add to the style of the bike. From a distant the bike looks similar to the CB Dazzler.
CB Trigger comes with Combi Brake System – a segment first feature. CBS is an easy to operate feature that reduces braking distance by 32% compared to conventional braking. The bike is powered by the proven 150cc which also does duty on the CB Unicorn and CB Dazzler. With a peak power of 10.3 Kw @ 8500 rpm (approx. 14 BHP) and a peak torque of 12.5 Nm @ 6500 rpm , the motorcycle returns a mileage of 60kmpl
CB Trigger will come in three stunning colors- Meteor Green Metallic, Pearl Siena Red and Black.
Booking will start from April’13 and actual deliveries will commence from May’13. The new CB Trigger will be available in three variants:
i) Standard: Disc brakes (F), Drum brakes (R)
ii) Deluxe: Disc brakes (F & R)
iii) CBS: Disc brakes (F & R) with CBS
Prices will be announced at the time of launch and will compete with the likes of Yamaha FZ, FZS and Apache RTR.
