Honda Cars India is looking to expand its footprint in Goa. The Japanese company recently put an ad in the local newspaper inviting applications for setting up a dealership in North Goa. The company is looking at businessman/entrepreneurs who will set-up a Honda Cars dealer in Mapusa.
The company is looking for a 3S facility spread over 40,000 sp ft. The new dealership will be in addition to the already existing Honda dealer Caculo Honda in Panjim and Verna.

Honda Cars have shifted focus from premium cars to volume cars which include the Brio, Amaze, City and the Mobilio MPV. Next in the pipeline is the all new Jazz which will be launched in both petrol and diesel engine options and will take on the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Swift, VW Polo and Hyundai i20 in the premium hatchback segment.
Honda also plans to launch a new 7 seater SUV in 2016 and more models could follow in the future.
A new dealer will also give Goans another Honda dealer option to choose from besides Caculo who has been the sole dealer since Honda cars launched the brand in India.
