This is the first time Honda Amaze diesel has been spotted. The launch will happen in April and the cars have already reached a few dealerships in India. The pics confirm the diesel variant to be launched alongside the petrol which was rumored to be launched later.
The Amaze will be mark the entry of Honda diesel cars in India and the Japanese company has developed a brilliant engine which will make 100 Ps of power and 200 Nm of Torque from a 1.5 i-dtec engine and deliver an impressive mileage of 25.8 kmpl. The pricing will be decide the success of the Amaze which will have to battle against the Swift Dzire which is currently the segment leader and most selling sedan in India.
The top variant VX will feature height adjustment for driver seats, light indicators for ORVMs and rear deffoger. From the initial impressions the boot space also seems large.
Honda may ditch the diesel motor for Brio hatch and offer the engine only on the Amaze, Jazz and City.
