Hero Honda Motors Ltd. (HHML) was today formally renamed as Hero MotoCorp Ltd. In the run-up to the unveiling of its new global brand identity, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer received the necessary statutory approval from the Registrar of Companies (RoC) today for the changeover to the new name.
Hero MotoCorp Ltd. will draw upon the rich legacy of HHML, which has continued to be in the coveted position of World No.1 two-wheeler manufacturer for 10 consecutive years, since 2001. The new name is the first step in the rebranding exercise that commenced earlier this year. As a next step, Hero MotoCorp Ltd. will unveil its new global brand identity in London, United Kingdom, on August 9th.

The new company will also announce its global plans once the company gets it identity.
