Goa Automobile Dealers Association and Directorate of Transport have organized an awareness rally to promote the use of on Helmets on 31st May.
With the growing number of vehicles and accidents on Goan roads, the Directorate of Transport and Goa Automobile Dealers Association have got together to promote safety and use of Helmet which could help to save one’s life in the case of an accidents which has seen a sharp increase over the years..
The rally will begin at 8:00 AM at Goa Rajee showroom Nuvem; and will be flagged off by Transport Minister and Directorate of Transport. The rally will take off from Goa Rajee Honda showroom Nuvem and will proceed towards various places of Goa such as Ponda, Shiroda, Curchorem, and Sanvordem with police placed at strategic locations.
Mr. Vallabh Kunkoilekar from Goa Rajee Honda said most of the accidents are due to head injury, and the message of the rally is to create awareness among the public to wear the helmet while ridding any two-wheeler and how wearing a helmet can save a person’s life.
The rally is open to anyone who possesses a two wheeler and a two wheeler license. Those who wish to participate in the rally can simply register at Goa Rajee showroom Nuvem on Sunday at 8.AM.
Similarly there will be another rally in North Goa too where a Helmet Awareness rally will be held later in June.
