Who doesn’t love Birthdays?
Join us to celebrate the First Anniversary of GEARS this Sunday! (1st July)
We have achieved a lot in the past one year and would love to have you present as we revisit the place it all started 🙂 And there will be CAKE!!
The tentative schedule is as follows:
11:30 AM – Riders from and around Panjim / Porvorim / Mapusa (North Goa) meet at the IndianOil (Heera) Fuel Station.
11:45 AM – GEARheads from the North ride out to Leonoras in Verna to add Ponda, Margao and Vasco (South Goa) members to the group.
12:30 PM – The full group rides out from Verna to Arossim Beach for a Photo Shoot.
We will break for lunch around 2:00 PM at a restaurant/shack near one of the beaches in the South (to be finalized soon – may be Benaulim or Colva)
We will then depart around 4:00 PM to ride to Miramar Beach and hang out there for a while.
You are welcome to join us for lunch in the South or later in the evening at Miramar if you cannot ride with us BUT we would love to have you at Arossim for the Photo Shoot on the beach 🙂
The riding distances from Panjim to Arossim is just about 32 km and from Colva to Miramar is about 40 km
Please read through the Event Rules posted on the Event Page and in the Group Docs and follow them thoroughly.
KINDLY NOTE:
This event is open to all riders, Male AND Female, as long as you have a valid License for your vehicle that day. If you wish to participate, you will have to complete and submit an Indemnity Form on the event day. This form will be available on the day of the ride with the admins.
Wearing a helmet is the MINIMUM safety requirement and if you have a pillion/passenger rider, they should have a helmet of their own too.
If any individual without a helmet is present, they cannot join us on this ride.
NO EXCEPTIONS!!
You may bring any two-wheeler you like as long as it meets the minimum requirements (mentioned below). Don’t worry about your ride being too fast or too slow, we will set up the group ride to accommodate all bike types.
We may also break up the group into smaller sub-groups for safer and more fun riding.
Double-check your bike papers (Registration, Insurance and PUC) for validity and carry all original documentation with you. Ensure that your fuel tank is topped up and tyre pressures are as recommended by the manufacturer. If your tyres are worn out or getting there soon, replace them before the ride. Ensure that all your electricals (lights and horn) are functioning properly. If your bike is found to flout any of these requirements, you may not join the group for the ride.
See you soon. Till then, ride safe!
