Ford will soon launch a new edition of the Figo, tagged as the Celebration edition to commemorate three successful years of the hatch in the Indian market. There are no much details of the new features the Figo will get, but we expect new colour options on the inside and outside, premium cloth or leather upholstery, an updated music system and limited edition graphics.
The celebration edition will be priced slightly on the higher side as compared to the regular variants. Ford Figo has helped the company to be a volumes player and also bring back customer confidence.
After the Figo Celebration Edition, Ford will launch the EcoSport in the India. The recent hike in the excise duties will certainly affect the pricing strategy for the company.
The industry has been suffering from sagging sales and the launch of the new edition Figo will certainly help the company to revive the sales. Ford introduced the Figo hatch in 2010 and received tremendous acclaim in its first year of launch. the hatch received its first major update in 2012. The hatch featured minor updates on the exterior, new interior colour scheme, steering mounted controls, new design alloy wheels and Kinetic Blue and Bright Yellow colour options.
The Figo is available in a 1.2 petrol & 1.4 diesel engine option.
