Ford is gearing up to launch the all new Figo Aspire compact sedan. The American car maker has announced the opening of bookings for the new model (Click here for more details).
The Figo Aspire compact sedan is kept on display for prospective customers to get a touch and feel of the car and also learn about the features. There are no test drives offered and will commence only when the car is officially launched in August.
This is the first new product from Ford for the year 2015 and will be followed by the Figo hatchback in September and Ford Endeavour SUV end of the year. Ford is also planning to launch the muscle car Mustang in India.
The Figo Aspire will be available in 3 engine options – 1.2 petrol, 1.5 diesel and 1.5 petrol with a dual clutch Automatic gearbox a first in its segment. The 1.2 litre Ti VCT petrol motor producing 88 PS of max power, mated to a five speed manual transmission and returns 18.2 kmpl. The 1.5 litre TDCi Diesel engine produces peak power of 100 PS mated to a five speed manual gearbox delivering 25.08 kmpl. The 1.5 Litre TiVCT petrol engine develops a peak power of 112 PS and 17.2 kmpl and will be offered with an automatic option only.
The Figo Aspire will compete with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent and Tata Zest.
