Ford is all set to launch the new Fiesta in July. The new Fiesta will be powered by 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.5 diesel engines.
As we thought before, it won’t be a 1.6 but a 1.5-litre scaled down version of the 1.6-litre motor that powers the Fiesta Classic. The engine will get Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing (Ti-VCT) which boosts power to an impressive 108.46bhp.
The 1.5-litre diesel is an slightly larger version of the 1.4 Duratorq and will be equipped with an inter cooler. The diesel develops 89.72bhp and 20.81kgm of torque.
Both variants will get a 5-speed manual gearbox. An automatic gear box could be added later. The petrol will offer an mileage of 17kmpl while diesel will give 23.5 kmpl according to the figures from ARAI.
The car will get cruise control, voice control, USB / AUX-in connectivity and rear parking sensors.
Will the new Fiesta create the same magic as the Figo??
