Fiat Linea has got its first major facelift in Turkey, the mother plant of the car. The Linea may have not been a sales success when compared to its competitors but one should not blame it the after sales which has hampered the growth of this Italian beauty.
The Linea facelift features:
A new chrome grill, with straight slots
Revised front bumper with a long chrome strip
Slightly revised headlamps
The facelift looks more of cosmetic changes and there are no real sheet metal changes. Details of interiors remain sketchy as of now. We can expect more chrome to be pumped in to make the car look a lot more elegant.
The Linea will get the same set of engines in India and we hope the new Multiair engines make it on the new Linea. We feel the current Linea looks more subtle then the new facelifted variant.
Fiat India plans to launch 50 dealers by year end a few more Fiat Caffes which gives one a taste of Italian flavour. Fiat India launched the 2012 variants of the Linea with revised features and prices. This Italian beauty definitely needs more push in terms of marketing and sales.
