Toyota will launch the diesel engine options of the new Liva and Etios sedan in September. Though we are not very sure on the exact date but 9th September could be the probable date.
The Liva will get a smaller 1.2 litre diesel engine which will have a power output of around 60-65 horsepower while the Etios sedan will get the 1.4 litre diesel mill with around 70-75 horse power.
The engine will be mated to a 5 speed gear box. The diesel options will be a lakh more expensive to the petrol versions.
So now the diesel hatchback segment is only going to get hotter with the launch of Etios diesel variants.
