Chevrolet will give the Spark more life by launching a facelifted variant of the entry model end 2012. The small car market is set to grow further and to tap this segment other car makers like Nissan are even planning to launch a new brand-Datsun to offer more affordable cars. The new facelifted Spark will adopt styling cues first seen on the electric Spark showcased at the Auto Expo in 2010.
The Spark will get re-profiled front and rear bumpers, new fog lamps, a honeycomb grille, a bigger Chevy bow-tie emblem, and new outside rear-view mirrors with integrated turn-lights. The interiors too will get a minor tweak.
Chevrolet has also been toying with the idea of launching the Spark with an 800cc engine which will help the American car maker to take on the rivals like the Maruti Alto and Hyundai Eon.
Chevrolet will also launch facelifted variants of the Cruze sedan and Captiva SUV. Besides these models the American car maker will also launch the Sail Hatchback and sedan in 2012.
