Chevrolet has launched refreshed versions of the Sail sedan and Sail hatchback. The Sail twins refresh come with upgraded interiors and exteriors.
The changes on the outside include revised headlamps & tail lamps and chrome strip on the boot-lid and fog lamps.
The interiors get a major upgrade with new dual-tone dashboard in black and beige, new black steering wheel, chrome surrounds for the AC vent bezel and HVAC control knobs and silver surrounds for door handles and the gear shifter.
The Sail twins get a new 2 – DIN music system with Bluetooth® functionality which supports up to five phone pairings and music streaming.
Originally introduced in 2012, the SAIL is built on a global passenger car platform that was created especially for India and other fast-growing emerging markets. The platform has crossed the 1 million sales figure in July 2014.
The Sail twins are powered by 1.2 -litre SMARTECH petrol engine which delivers power of 83.6 PS @ 6000 rpm and torque of 108.5 NM @ 5000 rpm along with a fuel economy of 18.2 kmpl. The 1.3 -litre SDE SMARTECH turbo-charged common rail diesel engine delivers power of 75 PS @ 4,000 rpm and torque of 190 Nm @ 1,750 rpm along with fuel economy of 22.1 km/l.
The Sail model range was introduced in 2012 in the Indian market. The global passenger car platform has crossed the 1 million sales figure in July 2014 worldwide.
