Royal Enfield is planning to launch its much awaited Bullet Classic in India on the 4th of November. The Chennai based company hasn’t released any official statements regarding the same, but seems like the print magazines have been intimated about the launch date and a ride for motoring scribes is scheduled during the aforementioned period. We have confirmed from some very reliable sources, and the date that has emerged out is 4th of November.
The Bullet Classic will be powered by a 499cc, single cylinder Unit Construction Engine (UCE in RE lingo) putting out 29PS of power at 5250 rpm and a monumental peak torque of 41.3 Nm at a lowly 4000rpm. The unit construction engine is a massive improvement over the traditional Royal Enfield engines which have an external clutch and gearbox. UCE encapsulates the two elements within its crankcase, aiding a more compact size, lesser transmission losses, lesser friction and better reliability.
