BMW India, the leading luxury car maker in the Indian market, is all set to launch the crossover version of its popular sports utility vehicle BMW X3. The car is scheduled to be launched in the Indian market on 25th August, 2011
BMW X3 (F25) will be offered only with diesel engines and the petrol variants are expected later.
The new X3 will be assembled at BMW’s Chennai plant unlike the current model which was being imported as a CBU. This will make the SUV more affordable and will compete against the Audi Q5 and Land Rover Freelander which are also is currently assembled in India.
