BMW X3 details are out and one can book the new SUV which will be launched officially by end of this month. The company is calling the X3 Sports Activity Vehicle and has a very distinctive styling.
The SUV comes with two engine options:
A Straight six-cylinder diesel in the BMW xDrive30d and Four-cylinder diesel in the BMW xDrive20d. Both the engines are mated to a Steptronic 8-speed automatic transmission with Auto Start Stop function.
The four cylinder diesel generates 380 Nm torque and 135 kW (184 hp)while the 6 cylinder diesel power unit delivers 190 kW (258 hp) and 560 Nm of torque. The results are impressive: BMW xDrive30d accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in just 6.2 seconds.
The car is loaded with features and will be manufactured in India at the Chennai plant via a CKD.
