The all New BMW M5 Sports sedan in stunning Monte Carlo Blue shade is on display at Bavaria Motors the dealership for BMW in Goa. The M5 is the high performance variant of the 5 Series sedan targeted at customers who want more power, looks & the M badge all in one package.
The facelifted M5 was launched in India on the 24th of November. The new M5 has very aggressive looks and the face lift gets Black Twin Spoke theme to the kidney grille, Square LED Rings, Massive ‘M’ Wheels, tweaked LED tail lights, at the rear you get Twin exhaust pipes and boot lip spoiler
The interiors of the M5 get all the bells and whistles of the regular stock sedan but with special M Stitching to the Special ‘M’ Steering , M gear lever , Red & Blue M Colour stitching for air con vents you also get an amazing 22 Speaker Bang & Olufsen Music system , M Instrument cluster with Heads UP display and White leather Seats
The car is powered by an M TwinPower Turbo eight-cylinder petrol engine which produces 412 kW / 560 hp and a massive torque of up to 680Nm. The BMW M5 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds.
The V8 twin turbo 4.4 litre engine is mated to a 7 Speed dual clutch transmission and yes you do get Paddle Shifters, 0 – 100 comes in a whopping 4.3 secs. Power is explosive, right from the 5000 rpm to the 7250 rpm redline and the engine will continue to pull till the limiter cuts in, but going into hard corners with a higher gear could be scary. The shift paddles on the M leather steering wheel help to shift up or down in milliseconds thanks to M Double Clutch transmission with Drivelogic.
With BMW EfficientDynamics, the new M5 sets benchmark when it comes to the performance-to-fuel-consumption ratio equipped with a comprehensive technology package including features such as Intelligent Lightweight Construction, Automatic Start/Stop function, Brake Energy Regeneration, Electric Power Steering, 50:50 Weight Distribution and many other innovative technologies.
