Chevrolet India posted 12.75% increase in sales in March this year at 10,588 units.
“The great demand for the Beat and Tavera has boosted our performance in March. The growth was primarily driven by India’s most fuel efficient vehicle, Chevrolet Beat Diesel,” GM India Vice President P Balendran said.
In March, Chevolet sold 1,879 units of small car Spark, 5,638 units of hatchback Beat, 107 units of entry-level sedan Aveo, 123 units of mid-sized sedan Optra and 722 units of luxury sedan Cruze.
It also sold 2,075 units of multi-purpose vehicle Tavera and 44 units of sports utility vehicle Captiva during the month.
