Bajaj unveiled its all new 100cc motorcycle, tagged as the Ultimate 100. The bike is packed with loads of technology when compared to its competitors in the same segment and is one of the most expensive 100cc bikes.
The Discover 100T is equipped with a 100cc 4-valve DTS-i engine derived from the Pulsar 135 LS which produces 10.2PS @ 9,000rpm of power and torque of 9.2Nm @ 6,500rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox and has top speed of 100 km/h. The most important question every Indian asks before buying a motorcycle, mileage. The Ultimate100 delivers 87 kmpl.
The Discover 100T borrows its styling cues from the Discover 125 ST with dual gas-filled Nitrox shocks at the rear. The bike also features electric start, auto choke and DC headlamps as standard. Drums are standard at both ends, while the customer does not any option to upgrade with a front disc brake.
Priced at Rs. 50,500 (ex-showroom Delhi), the Discover 100T is the most technically advanced and powerful 100cc bike yet in the Indian market claims Bajaj Auto and is four colours, flame red, brilliant blue, black red and black blue.
The Bajaj Discover 100T will take on the Hero MotoCorp Splendor, Passion X-Pro and the Honda Dream Yuga & Twister. With the new bike, Bajaj now has three products in the 100cc space: Platina, Discover 100 & Discover 100T and aims to increase its market share to 30 per cent and increase by 10 per cent, with monthly sales of around 45,000 units.
