As part of Bajaj Auto’s six months six bikes plan, it will launch a mass motorcycle on 12th of July. The new bike would be also called as Discover (codenamed as DiscoverM or Discover K70).
The new discover would come with an engine displacing between 100 and 110cc. The power and torque ratings are not known. The new Discover would be priced around Rs. 45,000 and compete against the Hero Honda’s Splendor plus and Hero Honda Passion plus.
Bajaj could use the old engine which they had launched initiallly around 3 years ago with 112cc or they could use the DTS-Si engine. With the new Discover Bajaj plans to enter the 100cc segment which is largely dominated by Hero Honda.
