Bajaj Auto has extended its Pulsar range of bikes, which now includes the new Pulsar 135 LS, which is priced at Rs. 51,000 ex-showroom Delhi.
The Pulsar 135 LS (Light Sport) is fitted with a 135cc single-cylinder air-cooled four-valve carbureted engine that produces 13.5 horsepower. The bike weighs 122 kilos and is equipped with preload adjustable gas-charged ‘Nitrox’ shock-absorbers at the rear, and a 240mm disc brake up front.
‘The Pulsar brand has been strongly associated with creating the sports segment in this country and our vision is to make India a country of bikers from a country of commuters. The new Pulsar 135LS leads the charge in democratizing the thrill of biking and accelerating the growth of sports segment in this country, in line with the overall Pulsar strategy of broad basing performance,’ says S Sridhar, CEO, Two-Wheelers, Bajaj Auto.
The Pulsar 135 LS will be manufactured at Bajaj’s plant in Chakan, near Pune. It meets BS III emissions norms and delivers an ARAI-certified 68.1km/l. We believe the bike is primarily positioned against the Honda CBF Stunner and going by its styling and specs sheet, the new Pulsar should be well up to the task.
