After introducing the Pulsar 220F DTS-i sans Fuel injection, Bajaj has introduced a yet another variant of the P220. The front half-fairing is missing on the new variant and the new P220 gets a bikini fairing – first seen on the now defunct
P200 – but retains the similar 220cc engine. Power output remains the same but at 148kg, the new P220 is 4kg lighter than its elder brother and this is expected to help boost its performance.
The new Pulsar 220 DTS-i gets a price cut and it is priced at Rs. 78, 230. On the other hand, prices of the Pulsar 220F DTS-i has gone up marginally, now retailing at Rs. 81,595.
Bajaj has also upgraded its most successful premium bike, the Pulsar 150 DTS-i. The 2010 Pulsar 150 DTS-i retains the same engine but has received few tweaks which means the power output has gone up to 15bhp, around one bhp more than the outgoing model.
The 2010 P150 also gets bigger sized UCD29 carburetor, new intake and new exhaust system, and clip-on handlebars. A minor price hike of Rs 500 justifies the upgrade and the new P150 retails at Rs. 66,600 (all prices on-road Mumbai).
