Audi is all set to officially enter the Goan market by opening its dealership on the of 13th June. Audi will is now the number 2 player in the Indian luxury market wants to tap the growing demand for luxury and exotic cars in Goa.
Goa accounts for 10% of luxury car market in India. The new dealership will be a temporary solution and the company will take a call on a full 3S facility in a few months. Mercedes-Benz was the first to set shop followed by BMW.
In recent years the demand has shot and with more options the numbers of customers have also seen a rise. Goa being a very small state has one of highest per capita income in India.
The Audi model range in India includes new Audi A4, Audi A6, Audi A7 Sportback, Audi A8L, Audi Q5, Audi Q7, Audi RS5 Coupé, Audi TT, the super sports car Audi R8 and the Audi R8 Spyder.
Audi India plans to expand its network to 25 dealerships by the end of 2012 from its existing 19 centres. Audi recently opened new showrooms in Coimbatore, Delhi West Nagpur and its second in Madhya Pradesh in Bhopal. Last year, the luxury carmaker opened new showrooms in Delhi South, Chennai, Ludhiana, Surat and Indore.
