Audi is planning to launch the new Q3 SUV in India by 2012. The new Q3 which will go head on to the X1 will be slotted in a similar price segment. We expect the Q5 to be showcased or even launched at the 2012 auto expo.
Audi Q3 a five-door coupe crossover will be aimed as more of a lifestyle/sports car, rather than for the family/off-road market like the Q5 & Q7.
The Q3 will be assembled in India to keep costs low and will a volumes driver for Audi India. The Q3 could sport a 1.8 litre petrol engine with 170-hp and a new 2.0-litre common-rail TDI that will come in 136-hp.
