Audi will launch the all new Audi TT Coupe in the Indian market. The luxury car maker will launch atleast 3 new models besides a refresh of the A4 sedan. The company also plans to expand production capacity at its plant in Aurangabad for rolling out two new products
The TT comes in mainly in two body styles: Coupe and Roadster. There are also talks of the TT RS making its way into the Indian market.
The Coupe will make its entry first in India. Audi has seen phenomenal growth since its inception in India five years ago and today is the fastest expanding premium brand in the market. India is a key strategic market for Audi to further up the ante the company will also launch the new TT coupe.
The TT Coupe will be priced around 60 lakh rupees and will compete with Porsche’s Boxster and the Mercedes Benz’ SLK Class. The Roadster model when launched will give the BMW Z4 some heat.
Powering the 2012 Audi TT is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 211 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. All-wheel drive is also standard.The only transmission available is a six-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission.
