German luxury carmaker Audi would showcase three new cars and a whole range of technology concepts at the upcoming Auto Expo in January in 2012. Audi is getting very aggressive in India and is eying the second position in the Indian luxury car market.
Audi India, clocked 85% growth in the first 10 months, compared to, BMW and Mercedes-Benz and sold 4,692 cars in the Indian market. The company plans to unveil all new futuristic e-tron series of its A3 sedan and the sporty S6 limousine, besides some new derivates of its hugely successful Q-series of SUV’s .
One car we are 100% sure is the Q3. Audi may also launch the A8 short wheel base version, A4 facelift and A3 concept car.
Audi Indian head Michael Perschke said that Audi plans to bring in fully-charged bandwagon for the Indian market, which along with China is a top-10 strategic market for India.
On the technology side Audi will showcase its’Ultra’ range which will have the light weight set of technologies including the revolutionary carbon fibre and aluminium metal used in cutting down the weight of the newage modern cars, while the ‘Connect’ will throw light on the in-car and inter-car options available for the customers.
