With the new year, luxury car makers have hiked prices of its entire range of models. The companies have held responsible the rising input costs, high interest rates and other factors
Mercedes-Benz have increased the prices in the range from 1-3% and will be effective from 14-January, 2013. The price of the B-Class will be increased by 1%, for the C-Class and E-Class sedans it will be 1.5% and for the S-Class sedan, the rise in price will be 3%. The M-Class SUV will be dearer by 3% and the prices of the CBU range of vehicles comprising the CLS-Class, SLK-Class, R-Class and the SLS AMG will also be increased by 1%.
Audi also announced the details of increase in prices of its model range available in India. The price increase would range between RS. 59,000 to RS. 369,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) across the model range from January 1, 2013.
The revised prices of the Audi A6 2.0 TDI will be RS. 4,086,000 (up 2.5%); Audi A8 L 3.0 TDI q: RS. 9,129,000 (up 2.5%); Audi Q3 2.0 TDI q: RS. 2,790,000 (up 2.5%); Audi Q7 3.0 TDI q: RS. 5,884,000 (up 1%); Audi S4 3.0 TFSI q: RS. 4,849,000 (up 5%). BMW claims JOY comes at a premium in 2013. BMW Group India has announced a price increase for the BMW and MINI product range effective January 1, 2013. The company has increased prices across the range.
