Ashok Leyland India’s second largest commercial vehicle maker launched the anniversary edition of Dost pick-up truck to celebrate the successful 1st year of launch.

The Dost comes with 1.5L 3 cylinder Turbocharged Diesel Common Rail (TDCR) engine in BS-3 & BS-4 option. The engine develops a 55 hp (40.5 kW) @ 3,300 rpm max power and Max torque 150 Nm (15.3 kg-m) @ 1,600 – 2,400 rpm. The pick-up truck has a decent mileage of 17.6 kmpl (BS3 variant).
The Dost has been well received in the market and already has achieved a good market share which comes with a warranty upto 50,000 or 1 year. The Dost is the first product under the Ashok Leyland and Nissan Motor Company joint venture.
The JV plans several more products in the future which includes a Van based on the Nissan Evalia platform and the Partner truck.
