Aprilia, a brand known for its racing heritage has been tuning superbikes not just for performance but track handling as well.
But what happens when a legendary superbike manufacturer decided to do a scooter, the result is the SR 150 Scooter.
The Italian designers have given the Aprilia SR 150 a unique design which stands out from the crowd of regular scooters, while the rest of the design is stylish enough with plenty of cuts and sculpted metal adding to the sporty design.
Features of the Aprilia SR 150 are distinct sporty handlebar with integrated turn indicator lights, bag hook for hanging shopping bags, twin pod analogue instrument cluster with fuel and odometer gauge, double barrel headlight unit for wider spread and visibility, sporty dual tone art leather seats, race style exhaust, stylish pillion grab handle and a stylish integrated pillion footrest.
Mechanicals are handled by a 220mm ventilated brakes with twin piston calipers and 140mm rear discs take care of braking power, while suspension duties are handled by a hydraulic front fork setup and a single arm suspension unit. A 150cc engine that makes a max power of 10.4 bhp at 6,750 rpm and max torque of 11.4 nm at 5000rpm mated to an automatic gearbox supply power to the scooter.
Aprilia has just taken a leaf out of the herd of normal scooters by offering something different and something that will not only attract young customers but also appeal to the younger generation, with a price tag of Rs 66,693 (ex showroom Goa) and an on road price of Rs 76,256, this new cross scooter is sure to give the competition consisting a run for their money. Aprilia currently offers the SR 150 in only two colours Matt black and Glossy white.
