Japanese auto makers Suzuki Motorcycle India and Honda Cars India have issued a recall.
Suzuki Motorcycle India recall new Access 125
Suzuki Motorcycle India is holding a service campaign for the New Access 125 scooters manufactured between March 8 and June 22, 2016 to inspect and replace the rear axle shaft as a precautionary measure.
This service campaign would cover 54,740 units of the New Access 125 manufactured during this period.
Starting July 13, owners of the vehicles covered will be contacted by Suzuki dealers. The replacement of the rear axle shaft will be done free of cost. As a goodwill basis, Suzuki two-wheelers will offer free periodic maintenance service to all the customers who will report to the dealership for replacement.
Honda Cars recall all cars except Brio & Amaze
Honda Cars India announced that it will voluntarily replace Takata passenger front airbag inflators of 190,578 vehicles of previous generation of Accord, CR-V, Civic, City and Jazz as part of Honda’s precautionary global recall campaign concerning Takata front airbag inflators.
The replacement will be carried out free of cost at HCIL dealerships across India in a phased manner. While the campaign for CR-V and Civic will begin immediately, the replacement of inflators for other affected models would begin from September 2016.
Customers are requested to contact their respective dealerships to get more details and book an appointment for getting the vehicles checked.
