Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) is likely to introduce a small car in the country in the next two to three years, a top company official said.
The small could be launched with a 1.2 litre engine and a power output of around 60-70 bhp. However, the engine specifications and the name are yet to be decided. The small will compete in the A2 segments with cars like the Hyundai i10, Maruti Suzuki A-star and Tata Indica Vista.
The new small car will be produced in Honda’s Rajasthan plant and will have more local content then other Honda cars. The new small car will be positioned below the Honda Jazz.
