Mahindra is all set to launch the Mini Xylo in India in a couple of weeks. Our friends at Bharathautos.com have caught the Mini Xylo testing in Ooty. The Mini Xylo will launched with a 1.5 diesel engine.
Rumours are that Mahindra will launch it with a 1.3 cylinder diesel engine which is based on the 2.2 mHawk engine. We feel it could also possibly be powered by the Renault 1.5 diesel which also powers the Mahindra Verito (Logan)
The Mini Xylo will be Mahindra’s answer to the growing hatchback segment and may be priced under Rs.5 lakh. The mini MPV will get a front similar to the big brother Xylo with tail lights raised on top.
The spare wheel will be mounted on the outside giving it a sportier look. From the pics, then car gets a side steps, rear step, coloured OVRMs and roof rails like the Verito.
We expect the Mini Xylo to be feature-packed to attract new buyers. With the petrol prices sky rocketing and no stiff competition the diesel Mini Xylo could be a runaway success.
