Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles (MERV), the world’s largest maker of electric cars, is working on different technologies to fit into Mahindra & Mahindra’s (M&M) other products like its flagship sports utility vehicle, Scorpio , light trucks and two-wheelers.
This would be some good news for the company as it plans to enter the US market. The electric vehicles are getting popular as they are less polluting, environmentally friendly and also fuel efficient.
Mahindra Reva could enter new markets like China which is planning to become a world’s biggest Electric car maker.
Mahindra had acquired a majority 55.2% stake in Reva Electric Vehicles in May this year. It has already tested the prototype of its commercial vehicle Gio with electricity-driven technology and has showcased two electric vehicles — Bijlee (three-wheeler) and Maxximo (mini truck).
