Skoda India plans to launch a model below Fabia, in the price range of 3-5 lakhs by 2012.
Skoda also plans to launch a strip down version of Fabia by year end and Octavia replacement in the price range of 6-10 lakhs by next year. In October Skoda will launch the Yeti SUV, which was showcased at the 2010 Delhi auto expo.
SkodaAuto India Board Member and Director (Sales and Marketing) Thomas Kuehl, “We had announced to roll out one new model every year. As part of this strategy, we will enter the volume segment and will launch a small car in early 2012.”
Skoda a subsidiary of VW, will entered the small car market with Fabia and now plans a car which will compete with Hyundai’s i10, Chevrolet Beat and Maruti Ritz.
