Ford’s popular small car, Figo, has become more expensive by around Rs. 4,244 starting August 1. The base price of the petrol variant in Delhi is Rs. 353,000.
According to a Ford India release, prices of all Figo variants have been increased to a maximum of 1.2 per cent. The company has attributed this to rising input costs.
“Ford India has marginally increased the price of Figo starting August 1 due to market undulations on input costs. Keeping in mind the value for money commitment, the maximum price increase on a Figo variant will not exceed 1.2 per cent,” said Mr. Michael Boneham, President and Managing Director, Ford India.
The Figo, which has seen over 25,000 bookings since launch, is priced between Rs. 353,000-446,000 for the petrol variant and Rs. 451,000-531,000 for the diesel variant.
