Maruti Suzuki India’s top car-maker, is expanding its distribution network and plans to add 200 more dealerships, as demand has picked up in the auto sector.
The company’s Chief General Manager (Marketing), Shashank Srivastava, said Maruti currently has 800-plus outlets covering more than 500 cities. “Our intention is to take up the number of outlets to 1,000 this fiscal,” he said.
The company is also betting big on the rural market.
Maruti Suzuki which sells 1 in every 2 cars in India is planning more cars, as completion is heating up especially in the small car segment. One the USP of Maruti Suzuki is its good dealer network and service points, by enhancing it, will help Maruti get more customers and greater sales.
