ŠKODA AUTO introduced the all-new KODIAQ SUV in Goa.
The KODIAQ is available in a single trim and is priced at an Ex-Showroom (All India) price of INR 34.49 Lakhs.
The ŠKODA KODIAQ looks impressive with the wide, three-dimensional radiator grille, narrow raked headlights which flow seamlessly into the radiator grille, with full-LED technology for the first time.
The split rear lights with LED technology shine in the ŠKODA-typical C-shape. In the side view, the long wheelbase and short overhangs point to the large interior. The angular wheel arches form a key element of ŠKODA’s SUV design language.
The SUV is large with 4,697 mm in length, 1,882 mm wide and 1,676 mm tall (including roof rails); its wheelbase measures 2,791 mm.
The large Sunroof adds to the overall premium appeal. The interiors are plush and display high-quality levels. The front seats can be adjusted electrically and include the memory function. The ŠKODA KODIAQ’s rear seats are extremely versatile: they can be folded in the ratio 40:20:40, can be adjusted by 18 cm to ensure optimum space for passengers in the 2nd and 3rd row, the angle of the backrest is also individually adjustable.
The SUV overall looks a lot more premium when compared to its closest rivals. The high-quality workmanship and ergonomically placed functions are typical of ŠKODA.
The KODIAQ will go on sale at exclusive ŠKODA showrooms and will be available in 4 attractive colors of Lava Blue, Quartz Grey, Moon White and Magic Black.
The SUV is powered by the 2.0 TDI which generates 110 kW (150 PS) and 340 Nm. On average, the engine returns a fuel efficiency of 16.25km/L. The KODIAQ accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 10.1 s and reaches a top speed of up to 192 km/h. (The new 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DQ-500 7A) is a variant that has been designed for powerful engines with a torque of up to 600 Nm).
The all-wheel-drive system with electronic control delivers a big increase in traction, stability and driving safety.
In terms of safety, the SUV comes with 9 airbags as standard reiterating ŠKODA’s strong emphasis on safety and remains the segment benchmark.
The KODIAQ’s state-of-the-art handsfree parking minimizes the hassle of parking in tight spots by automatically selecting an appropriate parking place in a row of parallel or perpendicularly parked vehicles.
The safety feature list includes features such as ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), MBA (Mechanical Brake Assistant), HBA (Hydraulic Brake Assistant), MKB (Multi collision brake), Prefill (hydraulic braking system readiness), Electromechanical parking brake (rear axle) with Auto Hold Function (both front and rear axle), ASR (Anti Slip Regulation), EDS (Electronic Differential Lock), TCS (Traction Control System), ESC (Electronic Stability Control) and much more.
The Amundsen music and infotainment system in the ŠKODA KODIAQ represents the latest technology. For the first time, the SmartLink all-in-one app also integrates SmartGate in the new ŠKODA KODIAQ SUV – alongside Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink™ standards. The premium Canton Sound system features 10 speakers, including subwoofer, and has a power output of 575 watts.
The KODIAQ also features a Digital Voice Enhancement feature which uses the infotainment system to transmit the voice from the driver’s position to passengers in the seat.
The ‘Simply Clever’ features available in the ŠKODA KODIAQ are Easy Parking, Comfort Assist, Adaptive lights, Door Edge Protection, Umbrella Storage Compartments and Ticket Holder.
