Goa Tourism rolls out cycle party 10-seater pedal-powered vehicle.
Goa Tourism is trying all possible ways to attract tourist to Goa. After launching the amphibious vehicle ‘Goa Duck Tours,’ hot air balloon rides, helicopter rides and the seaplanes rides, the department has added ‘cycle party’, another tourism attraction in the state.
Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar launched the newly manufactured Goa ‘Cycle Party’ on October 31, the state Tourism Ministry said in a statement.
Young entrepreneurs Heta and Harsh Patel have brought the idea of cycle party in the form of ‘Pedibus” to India and chose Goa as the launch site. Goa which attracts a lot of domestic and foreign tourist is one the best testing grounds.
HOP ON, HOP OFF
One can hop on and off at leisure with the pace solely at the discretion of the pedallers. Stop at every nook and corner to take in every detail of the sightseeing tour.
The Pedibus is popular in leading tourism destinations in Europe and North America. Its seating configuration is similar to that of a dinner table and music is played in the vehicle. The eco-friendly vehicle in Goa will have several different tours throughout the day from different locations, beginning with Candolim and Baga.
Made in Goa
All the Cycle Party vehicles are made in Goa. The tour bookings for the ‘cycle party’ can be done online, on the phone as well as through one’s hotel.
The vehicle is open on all sides so there is natural air-conditioning (pardon rainy season and summers).
The onlookers also get to enjoy seeing the passing vehicle and hearing the lively music.
The routes for the Pedibus will be decided according to the tourism and traffic department’s convenience and will cover popular beaches, night markets, sunset destinations, food lovers choices, Goan heritage sites and clubbing spots.
