BMW has introduced the new facelifted 1 Series hatchback in India recently and the car has now been launched in Goa.
The New 1 Series looks more premium and classy than the outgoing 1 Series thanks to the new Bi – Xenon headlamps, bigger grille and re-profiled lower fascisa. The side remains the same while the rear gets new larger and sharper L ‘shaped taillamps and twin exhausts. The BMW 1 Series is also available with full LED technology
The interiors of the 1 Series facelift get updated upholstery options, chrome surrounds and matte silver accents for the buttons and knobs near the iDrive controller. A 6.5 inch free standing display screen and single zone automatic climate control as standard, while a dual – zone system is optional.
Powering the BMW 1 Series is a 2.0 litre four cylinder diesel motor with 150 hp (110kW) and 320 Nm @ 1500-3000 rpm of torque under the hood and an 8 speed ZF automatic gearbox.
In terms of safety the car is packed with 6 airbags – Airbags for driver and front passenger, Head airbags front and rear and Side airbags for driver and front passenger.
The safety pack also includes Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with brake assist, Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Dynamic Traction, Control (DTC), Electronic vehicle immobiliser and crash sensor and BMW Condition Based Service (Intelligent maintenance system).
The 1 Series is offered in a single Sportline trim only.
