FIAT is soon going to open a new sales outlet in Goa. Auto Industries, the sole agent for FIAT cars in Goa will be opening their second outlet in Panjim –Tonca.
Auto Industries also has an outlet in Margoa, while a full scale FIAT dealership is not operational in Goa as yet.
The new dealership is opened at Tonca, which was initially used by Auto Industries to sell spare parts for Tata vehicles. To get there one can come from Miramar or simply drive straight from Caculo Mall towards Dona Paula.
FIAT currently has a small portfolio of cars on offer which mainly includes the Punto Evo hatch, Avventura Cross, Linea and Linea Classic sedans. The portfolio has got a small push from Abarth with the launch of 595 Compitizione and recently launched Punto Abarth and Avventura powered by Abarth.
FIAT has been struggling in Goa ( and in India) even after having tough and good vehicles in the product portfolio. The Italian car maker has had a tough run mainly due to less number of dealers and poor after sales. FIAT is working to change the brand image and broke ties with Tata Motors in 2013. The company plans to launch JEEP brand from the Chrysler portfolio in the Indian market in 2016 which has been delayed by 2 years since the company announced in 2014.
