First showcased as a concept at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo in 2014, the highly anticipated Figo Aspire is all set to be launched on today on 12th of August 2015, which is when prices will also be launched. The Figo aspire will replace the existing fiesta classic and go head on with the Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Xcent and Honda Amaze.

The Figo Aspire is a compact sedan with stunning design, powerful engines and advanced safety. The Aspire is loaded with technology and features that will surely attract Indian customers.
The front is flanked by the Aston Martin like front grille and swept back headlamps that really attract the eye; the side has a strong shoulder line that rises to the back of the car. The boot is the best design seen on a compact car till date, and the rear with the stubby boot and single piece lamps with a chrome strip running across the cars boot.
The interiors of the Figo Aspire do remind you of the Fiesta and Ecosport. The dashboard wrapped in black and beige trim with gloss black treatment for the audio system and steering wheel .Ford has also packaged the Aspire smartly with lots of space both in the front and rear with 20 flexible storage spaces. Ford also offers 359 litres of boot space.
Ford has packed the Aspire to the gills with features such as Ford My Key which allows owners to restrict the driving modes that encourage good habits such as increasing seat belt use, limiting vehicle top speed and regulating audio volume. The Automatic variant gets features such as DCT dual clutch transmission and hill hold assist. Keeping in mind mobile entertainment Ford has developed My Ford dock that allows driver to store, mount and charge mobile phones.
The Aspire will be powered by a range of petrol and diesel engine options first up the is new 1.2 litre Ti – VCT petrol motor producing 88 PS of max power, the motor will be mated to a Five speed manual transmission. The motor returns 18.2 kmpl. The 1.5 litre TDCi Diesel engine produces peak power of 100 PS mated to a Five speed manual gearbox delivering 25.08 kmpl. A dual clutch Automatic gearbox is also on offer with the 1.5 Litre TiVCT Petrol engine with a peak power of 112 PS and 17.2 kmpl
Where safety is concerned Ford has equipped the Aspire with driver and passenger airbags as standard feature across all variants a welcome addition indeed. The Aspire will also become the first sedan in the county to offer side and curtain airbags for the little extra protection to the occupants.
Ford has hit all the right boxes with the Figo Aspire though the car may not have the outright performance of the Fiesta Classic; the Figo Aspire is loaded with features in terms of engine, performance, and safety. Ford just needs to price the car right and they could replicate the success of the Figo hatchback and Ecosport SUV.
Ford will launch the Figo Aspire in four trims Ambiente, Trend, Titanium and Titanium+ and seven different exterior shades namely Deep impact Blue, Ingot Silver, Tuxedo Black, Sparkling gold, Ruby Red, Oxford white and Smoke Grey.
