Chevrolet will launch the all new Sail U-VA hatch in the Indian market on the 2nd of November. The car will replace the Aveo U-VA and will be the first product from the SAIC-GM joint venture. The Sail U-VA will be Chevrolet’s third hatchback for the Indian market and will take on the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Nissan Micra, Renault Pulse and Skoda Fabia.
The Sail U-VA gets a dual-port chrome grille and a gold Chevrolet bowtie in the centre with Swank Hawk-wing inspired headlamps, ultra-modish Shooting Star Style Front Fog Lamps and the aggressive 12 spoke 14 inch alloy wheels.
Based on the global benchmark Chevy Design Philosophy, SAIL U-VA boasts the Corvette inspired Dual Cockpit with harmonious dual tone interior with rising Sun style Instrument cluster which helps enhance the interior experience.
The car boasts one of the best leg room and passenger space in its class. Thanks to the ‘Smart Space Utilization’ allows you to experience an unhindered panoramic view of your surroundings, along with ample leg room and maximum space & comfort for passenger’s. The Flex Flat’, 60:40 Folding rear seats and the Centralized Position Fuel Tank design helps to offer an amazing boot space as big as 1134 litres.
Remote keyless entry, dual airbags, ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution) and Child-protection rear door locks are some of the features that make it a safe, convenient and comfortable drive.
The Sail U-VA comes with a 1.3l Diesel SMARTECH engine with superior torque promises an unbeatable performance with an amazing mileage of 22.1 kmpl. A 1.2l Petrol SMARTECH variant will also be on sale with 88Ps , a lower state of tune which does on the Beat.
