Mahindra will launch the Quanto compact SUV on the 20th of September. The Quanto is the smaller version of the Xylo MUV and will be under four meters which means the SUV will attract a lower excise duty, hence we can expect aggressive pricing.
The Quanto will be the smallest SUV in Mahindra’s product portfolio and given the brands popularity will be a hit especially in the rural areas. Mahindra is also the number one in the Utility segment and this could also help the Quanto to lure more customers.
The Quanto will have similar interiors like the Xylo and the major difference will be the shortened wheelbase and rear spare tyre.
According to the company the Quanto is an innovative product offering from Mahindra developed after taking into account a lot of customer feedback and research at various stages of its development.
Mahindra has coined the name ‘Quanto’ for its newest offering, with the aim of conveying a sense of space and power inherent in the product. Derived from the word ‘Quantum’, the name has an association with the product promise of more space, more power, more seats and superior performance.
