Hyundai will launch the all new Fludic Elantra sedan in India on the 13th of this month. Hyundai has already unveiled the new Elantra at the Auto Expo and we expect the car to be priced between Rs. 13-16 lakhs.
Under the hood, the fifth-gen Elantra will be powered by the same 1.6 litre CRDi engine that does duty on the on the Verna. The engine is tuned to produce max power 128Ps@4000 rpm and a healthy torque of 260 Nm@1900-2750 rpm. The Elantra will also be available in a 1.6 petrol motor producing 149.5Ps@6500 rpm and 176nm of Torque. Considering the market is skewing to diesel cars the diesel engine will definitely be the seller. One can choose between a 6 speed manual and automatic gear box.
