Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL), the country’s second largest car manufacturer and the largest passenger car exporter registered aggregate sales of 52,845 units (49,666 units) in July, up 6.4% from the corresponding month last year, domestic sales were 27,585 units (25,642 units) up 7.6% and exports were 25,260 units (24,024 units) up 5.1%.
Commenting on the sales, Mr Rakesh Srivastava, Vice President, National Sales, HMIL said, “The overall market demand is suppressed due to general inflationary trend, high fuel prices and interest rates. Unless any major triggers get activated, market sentiment is not expected to improve very much.”
