TVS Apache will break covers on the 23rd of April however all details have emerged well before the launch. Thanks to the enthusiasts who have posted not only the pics but also the brochure with all details.
TVS bid toy with Apache by launching very minimal upgrades which included the Hyper Edge edition. TVS this time will launch a facelift which include a number of changes. The bike sports the same 160cc engine with no changes in power and Torque. The engine produces 15.2 Bhp of power and 13.1 Nm of Torque. TVS will offer the 160 with a rear petal disc option. Tubeless tyres are standard along with Alloy wheels the design which remains the same.
So what’s new exactly on the Apache?
New headlight design with pilot lamps
New design faring (We still prefer the old one)
Imitation Carbon Fibre inserts on the Fuel tank, Air intakes and Instrument console
Redesigned Seat (Its time for Split seat TVS)
New design rider and pillion footpegs
Re-designed rear mudguard
New colour options and graphics
Well list is not very long but it does qualify for a facelift considering it is a two-wheeler.
The TVS Apache may not be the best looker in its segment but is known for its sporty ride and good control. The facelift may not go well with everyone but is certainly fresh. The design seems like a mesh from its competitors. The colour options remind us of the Yamaha FZ-S, faring from the Pulsar & GS-150R. The tank extensions seem a bit overdone and the rear does not gel well with the rest of the bike.
The pricing may be upped in wake of excise duty hike.
