Renault will soon launch the Pulse hatchback with a petrol engine option. The French carmaker launched the diesel variant first and now plans to add the petrol engine.
The Pulse will get the same petrol engine which is currently available on the Micra. Renault had displayed the Pulse with petrol engine at the 2012 Auto Expo. The Pulse will be equipped with the 1.2 litre petrol engine which produces 76 Ps of power and 104 Nm of Torque.
The Pulse gets more masculine looks compared to the Micra with sharper looking front end along with the prominent Renault logo.
The Pulse will be launched in two variants Rxl and RxZ.
The Standard features on the Rxl are as follows:
- Front Driver Airbag
- Tilt Steering
- Integrated Music System
- Power window with Anti Pinch function
- Central locking
- Rear window wiper
- Internally adjustable ORVM
- On board trip computer
- Trendy Plum & Black interiors
- Fabric accentuated fabric seat
The RxZ will get the above features plus:
- ABS and EBD
- Front passenger airbag
The Pulse is currently available only with a diesel engine option and 2 variants only. The French carmaker has been quite rapidly expanding its footprint in the Indian market by opening new dealerships throughout India. The company plans to add at least 100 dealers by end of this year.
We can expect the Pulse to be priced with a slight premium above the Micra. The launch is expected very soon.
