Chevrolet will reveal the station-wagon based on the Cruze at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. The station wagon will sport the new face of Cruze and won’t make it to India, however the new facia will definitely make it into the Indian market.
The Cruze mild treatment on the exterior which include a refreshed nose, wider chin, vertically aligned fog lamps clusters and new designed grille. Interiors will also get some amount changes which may include a slightly re-designed rear seat to address the thigh support and improve rear head room.
The headlamp cluster gets a refresh in terms of clear-lens treatment and silver-reflector material replaces the black plastic. New design alloys and colours will help the car cruze further in terms of sales.
The centre console will get decent updates which also include touch-screen that doubles up as a screen for reversing camera. We hope the Cruze gets some power upgrade or an all new 2.2 VDci engine which also powers the Captiva SUV.
The European Cruze gets 5 engine option starting summer 2012. These will include the 1.4-litre turbo, a 1.7-litre and 2.0-litre diesel, and the 1.6-litre and 1.8-litre normally aspirated petrol units.
India will continue to get only the diesel engine option only. There were news floating on the powerful petrol engine option but considering the petrol prices Chevrolet may not introduce the petrol engine in the Indian market. We can expect the prices to increase marginally.
