Tata Motors plans to launch 230 showrooms for its ultra-cheap Nano car in the next 12 monthss.
The company currently has 120 exclusive Nano showrooms, adding Sri Lanka, Nepal and now Bangladesh as export markets for Nano.
The Nano needs special treatment if the company plans to sales above the 10k mark. The dedicated showrooms will certainly help to move the cars.
The future of Nano
Tata Motors showcased the Nano CNG at the Auto Expo. Based on the same Nano Platform the CNG variant will come with a additional CNG kit with current sequential gas injection system with the ECU being calibrated to switch between CNG and petrol fuel systems.
Tata Motors is betting on the Nano and is trying its best to push the small wonder. Tata displayed the Nano Concept with start stop function at the Auto Expo with many new features.
It comes with a host of features like new exhaust chrome tip, chrome strip on the hood and on the tail gate, and a modified rear bumper, on the exteriors.The interiors have also been refined with 360 mm steering wheel, new doorpads, stylised front and rear seats with seat tray, parcel shelf with speakers and glove box for driver and co-driver, new hazard warning switch on centre facia.
The main feature of the car is it comes with an engine start-stop system that significantly reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions in traffic conditions.
A diesel variant is also in the pipeline which could see a launch by end of 2012 hopefully.
